Client pleads not guilty to money laundering, conspiracy charges

Microsoft engineer Raymond Uadiale pleaded not guilty Thursday to charges of conspiracy and money laundering stemming form a 5-year-old federal case involving ransomware. Uadiale’s federal defense attorney, David Joffe, told the court that his client “has been extremely responsible and cooperative in this case,” and that the defendant’s current employer is aware of the charges. Meanwhile, a federal prosecutor admitted that there was no evidence of Mr. Uadiale’s involvement in the spreading of ransomware.
